Hugh Grant Split Up With Jemima Khan Because of Elizabeth Hurley?

HUGH Grant has split with gorgeous girlfriend Jemima Khan. The Four Weddings and Funeral star’s agent last night confirmed the couple had parted.

Grant’s New York-based publicist, Robert Garlock said: “Hugh and Jemima have decided to split amicably.”

Grant, 46, whose relationship with Elizabeth Hurley ended in 2000, began dating Khan, 33, three years ago. She has two sons with her ex-husband, former cricket star turned politician Imran Khan.

The split comes hours after Grant described his lover as a “cracker” on US TV show The View, which was aired last night. And he went on to describe how he had been “domesticated” by her.

The millionaire actor, famed for being miserable, also explained how he had become “fussy” about women’s fashion since being with Khan, the daughter of late billionaire Sir James Goldsmith.

He said: “I used to be a man who played rugby and was relatively butch, and now I watch my girlfriend about to go out for the evening and I’ll say, ‘The brown shoes.’”

Isn’t it awfully suspicious that the split came right after Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar set their wedding date? Is Hugh Grant heart broken and shocked by Liz Hurley’s finally official “letting go” moment? Personally, I think Hugh Grant is crushed by the announcement of the wedding.

Last year he refused to comment on rumours the pair were set to tie the knot.

At the time, a pal of Khan told People magazine: “He’s very clever, and she really is funny, witty and quick.

“They spark off each other perfectly.”

However, their three year relationship was also the subject of much speculation that they were on the verge of splitting.

The duo were recently seen together at both the London and Los Angeles premieres of new romantic comedy Music & Lyrics.

But they were seen having a bust-up at the London premiere when she became fed-up with his constant flirting with other women.

And just a few weeks earlier Hugh yelled at Jemima after they were left stranded on LA’s Sunset Boulevard – the very spot where he picked up hooker Divine Brown – because their car didn’t turn up after lunch.

News of the split comes just a day after his former lover Liz Hurley, 41, announced her marriage to Arun Nayar, 42.

The pair are due to tie the knot at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire on March 3.

But Liz’s old love is not on the guest list.

It’s weird that Hugh Grant is not even on Elizabeth Hurley’s guest list. This has probably got to do with Arun Nayar, I mean which self-respecting man would want their wife’s ex-lover to be present at the wedding. And the fact that he’s an Indian doesn’t help matters, asians are generally pretty touchy about stuff like that.

Did Arun Nayar ban Hugh Grant from the wedding?

Poor Hugh Grant, he must have gotten a real blow from the wedding announcement and he can’t even see Elizabeth Hurley in that touted beautiful pink sari.
