Emma Bunton, a.k.a. “Baby Spice,” has become a mother for the first time – of a boy named Beau, PEOPLE has confirmed.

Beau, which in French means “beautiful,” was born on Friday at 11:12 a.m. and weighed a healthy 7 lbs., 15oz. – the same birth weight as his father, Bunton boyfriend Jade Jones, according to Bunton’s London rep, Alan Edwards.

Speaking outside London’s Portland Hospital, Jones said: “He is absolutely brilliant, and both baby and Emma are doing fine. In fact Emma is tucking into some flapjacks and Coca-Cola as we speak.”

The new father added, “We are both absolutely delighted and can’t wait to take Beau home.”

Congratulations to Baby Spice. I’m glad she’s gotten her own baby in spite of the slim possibility of it. She suffered from illnesses that would lower the chances of pregnancy and that must be a hell of a nerve racking experience for a woman hoping to conceive.

Jones, 27, is a former member of the British boy band Damage. He and Spice Girl Bunton, 31, have been together for eight years and moved into a five-bedroom home in her native north London in 2005.

Motherhood for the youngest of the reunion-bound five-piece has been difficult to achieve.

In 2000, Bunton had to have pre-cancerous cells removed from her cervix. Last year, she revealed she’d been diagnosed with endometriosis, a painful condition in which the lining of the uterus begins growing in other areas of the body, making it difficult to conceive.

Less than two months ago, Bunton told PEOPLE: “I’m getting a little feisty now that I am pregnant.”

How is Emmy-nominated Ugly Betty actress America Ferrera biding her time before the Emmy Awards on Sept. 10? By house hunting with her longtime boyfriend, Ryan Piers Williams.

The couple very recently began looking for a new home together, a friend of the pair tells PEOPLE.

“They’re excited about it,” says the source. “All that matters to them is that they are together and that they find somewhere private. They aren’t one of those flashy couples.”

Ferrera, 23, first met Williams, an aspiring director, at University of Southern California when he cast her in his student film. Together, they have a golden retriever named Buddy.

How refreshing to see the word “longtime” associated with a celebrity’s boyfriend. Hopefully, Ferrera’s phenomenal success will not cause Ryan Piers Williams’s commitment to her to shake.

Clive Owen can boast plenty of beautiful costars – from Angelina Jolie in Beyond Borders, Julia Roberts in Closer and Jennifer Aniston in Derailed to Monica Belluci in the upcoming Shoot ‘Em Up – but the married star says he’d never have an affair with a costar.

“I so value what I’ve got at home with my wife and kids that I’ve never f—-ed with that,” Owen, 42, tells Playboy in its September issue. “For me, that’s what it’s about.”

Owen – who has two daughters, Hannah and Eve, with wife Sarah-Jane Fenton – adds: “I’ve had some great times with actresses, but that’s in a movie. It’s a fun thing to do, but it’s not love. So I never have a problem with that.”

When it comes to making love onscreen, “Even sex scenes are very straightforward,” he says. “You’ve got things to accomplish, work to do. I find the thing to do in those situations is to just keep the atmosphere as light as possible.”

Not that his don’t-bed-the-costar rule was always in effect: the Briton says that first girl to win his heart was “a very lovely, beautiful girl, a local girl” with whom he acted at age 17.

He also met his wife while working with her onstage. “[She] was playing Juliet to my Romeo,” in a touring production of Shakespearean plays.

Never say never. It’s refreshing to hear a male celebrity making such an honourable statement but I reckon his insistence on being a polygamous would only invite more trouble to his charming arse. There will always be tonnes of women throwing themselves at Clive Owen and it’s really only a matter of time before he succumbs to these temptations.

It was an American Idol first when Dallas contestant Antoria Gillon performed her audition – in labor.

While waiting with 13,500 other hopefuls at Texas Stadium on Monday, 9-months-pregnant Gillon realized she was going to have her baby.

Not one to let her contractions block her chance at fame, however, she sang right through them. And the tryout turned out to be a success: Gillon will be back for the next round on the hit FOX show, the network announced.

Gillon was taken to a local hospital, where she gave birth to a healthy son she named Jamil Labarron Idol McCowan.

Baby Idol arrived early Tuesday morning weighing 6 lbs. 7oz.

As for next season’s TV Idol, its seventh edition is set to be born in January 2008.

What was a 9-month old pregnant woman doing among 13,500 people? Wasn’t she suppose to be at home, resting and waiting for her water to break? It’s quite a sad story, for someone was so desperate for whatever that American Idol would bring her, she’s willing to risk the life of her unborn child. She’s lucky the her child was safely delivered.

What good is an Idol she can’t even have the decency to give the child a safe delivery?

They’ve been friends for most of their lives – despite a two-year period when they didn’t speak to each other – and now Paris Hilton is sharing in Nicole Richie’s baby excitement.

“She’s really happy,” Hilton, 26, told PEOPLE about her Simple Life costar at Wednesday’s Helio Ocean launch party in West Hollywood, to benefit Heal the Bay. “I just got off the phone with her. She’s so excited.”

Adds the hotel heiress, “I know she’s going to be the best mom ever.”

In a series of ABC interviews last week, Richie, 25, told Diane Sawyer that she is four months pregnant with musician boyfriend Joel Madden, 28.

“They’re really in love,” Hilton says of the expectant parents.

Not that all is hearts and flowers for the mom-to-be.

Due to serve four days in a L.A. County jail, for a second DUI conviction (she must put in her time before Sept. 28), Richie will likely be kept at Lynwood, Calif.’s Century Regional Detention Center – the same lockup where Hilton spent 23 days earlier this summer.

I’m sure Nicole Richie will be a great Mom if she managed to keep herself away from a kid. The kid needs a great nanny who will impart balance into Richie/Madden’s kid. Think about it, what could an anorexic mother and a rockstar wannabe father do to an innocent child?
