WELSH actress Catherine Zeta Jones has been revealed as the celebrity who earns most from an advertising deal, thanks to a reported €16m payment to promote telecoms giant T-Mobile.

The glamorous star led a top 10 compiled by US industry magazine Adweek, easily beating fellow Hollywood beauties Angelina Jolie and Australian redhead Nicole Kidman.

They each pocketed €9.6m to endorse St John and Chanel No 5 respectively.

Zeta Jones’ campaign for T-Mobile was only used in America. Adweek said her two-year, €8m-a-year contract signed in 2002 to appear in TV and print advertising was still considered one of the most lucrative endorsement deals ever made. It was renewed last year, the magazine said.

A couple of glamourous photoshoots, loads of free latest mobile phones and on top of that, you get to pocket €16m! Could Zeta Jones be any luckier??

Brad Pitt was the only man to make the list, taking eighth place for his €3.2m deal to promote Heineken.

In fourth place was Jessica Simpson, who netted €6m to advertise Guthy-Renker.

Next came Gwyneth Paltrow and Charlize Theron, who each made a reported €4.9m for deals with Estee Lauder and Dior.

Julia Roberts was said to have earned £2.8 million from fashion designer Gianfranco Ferre, and Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz £2.2 million each from L’Oreal.

It’s interesting to note that male celebrities don’t get paid as high as their female counterparts. It’s an entirely different scenario on the movie set though, but the women are catching up real fast. Reese Whiterspoon will be paid $29 million for her next movie Our Family Trouble.

No longer dating British model Paul Sculfor – his rep says they remain “friends” – Aniston is resuming her movie career, close to signing onto a major film project.

The 38-year-old actress is in final talks to star in the ensemble comedy He’s Just Not That Into You, her first film since The Break-Up, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The film begins shooting in September. She would play a woman whose longtime boyfriend won’t commit to getting married. The move also stars Jennifer Connelly and Drew Barrymore, who’ll also be a producer, according to the Reporter.

Aniston also will be displaying her directing talents when her film Room 10, a romantic comedy with Robin Wright Penn, screens at the Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films & Short Market, which begins Aug. 23.

Aniston and Sculfor, who dated earlier in the summer, have gone their separate ways, with Sculfor returning to England to shoot commercials for Land Rover and to model for magazine ads for the fashion chain Next.

Yeah right! Such a lame excuse by Jennifer Aniston. Truth is, no one will ever be able to match up to Brad Pitt. Not in terms of looks and personality. What Jennifer Aniston really needs is a filthy, filthy rich old geezer.

Angelina Jolie may be opening the door to a future relationship with her estranged father, Jon Voight.


“I am hoping my relationship with my father will be more private in the future,” Jolie told the U.K.’s Evening Standard newspaper in an interview this week. “At the end of the day we both wish the best for each other and we’ll try to start communicating in some way.”

Jolie and Voight have had little, if any, contact since 2002, when Voight made comments to Access Hollywood suggesting that she was unstable. The 32-year-old actress has made it clear in interviews that she had no time for Voight, whom she also claimed cheated on her late mother, French actress Marcheline Bertrand.

In the interview with the Standard, Jolie praises the parents of partner Brad Pitt for accepting her and her children she had adopted. “When I first met them I came in with two adopted children from other countries and I didn’t know how they were going to be. But they are equally loving with them.”

Angelina Jolie’s new family must have melted her ice cold relationship with her estranged father, Jon Voight. The question is, will Jon Voight be able to keep his mouth shut on his famous daughter?

Angelina Jolie and new son, Pax Thien

Angelina Jolie formally asked a Santa Monica court to change her adopted son’s name to Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt.

Her request to add partner Brad Pitt’s surname came in an April 16 filing in Superior Court.

Pax, 3, was adopted from a Vietnamese orphanage in March, joining Pitt and Jolie’s three other children, Maddox, 5, Zahara, 2, and Shiloh, 10 months.

Awww, how incredibly sweet! Now they are truly one big happy family.

Because Vietnamese law makes it difficult for unmarried couples to adopt, Jolie applied solo, and the boy’s name became Pax Thien Jolie.

New addition to Jolie-Pitt Clan, Pax Thien Jolie

The formal introduction of Pax Thien Jolie to his new mother didn’t exactly go smoothly: The 3-year-old Vietnamese boy started crying when Angelina Jolie knelt down to speak to him at Thursday morning’s welcoming ceremony at Tam Binh Orphanage in Ho Chi Minh, according to the orphanage director, Mr. Nguyen Van Trung.

Jolie wasn’t phased. “She told me she understands – that it’s normal for all young children to be scared,” Trung recalled Thursday. Jolie took the boy aside in a separate room from the ceremony for the boy to recover his composure. “Later he was okay, very cheerful and happy,” Trung said. “He even played with his new brother Maddox.”

Ah little kid…. I suppose he has no idea that he’s about to enter into the world’s most desirable family. What a lucky, lucky boy.

The boy’s main caretaker at the orphanage, Ms. Bui Thi Thanh Tuyen, said there was a reason that Pax – usually known as an exceptionally cheerful child – was caught off guard Thursday: He wasn’t actually told by the staff that he was being adopted that day.

“We did not say anything to him, afraid we might put pressure on him and more frightened,” Tuyen said. “We just told him that we are taking him out. You are going to play outside – play with a mother and father.”

Still, the orphanage staff prepared him as best they could: They packed a small box with two sets of clothes for him to take, and his favorite toys, especially a small plastic piano. They also taught him a few phrases of English: “How are you?” and “What’s your name?”

I do think it’s rather cruel not to prepare the kid for his adoption. Really sounds fishy to me. Fortunately it’s Angelina Jolie and co. so that would have softened the blow considerably.

Gillian Anderson of X-File’s fame looks like any typical white trash without makeup. Heck, she still look white trash to me with makeup.

Jennifer Garner is hot hoochi momma with or without makeup. True beauty with a hot bod!

Naomi Watts is alright. But I could never accept her as being beautiful (ok, she’s definitely way better than mere mortals). Do you notice her puffy cheeks? Even makeup can’t hide them.

Death becomes her. Mira Sorvino is ugly and no amount of makeup can conceal that fact.

Jennifer Aniston is a bit scary without makeup. She looks like a lumberjack. With makeup, her hotness quotient shoots up through the ceiling.

If there’s any woman who can look like a boy without trying, it’d be Avril Lavigne. Makeup does improve her overrall looks though.

Like Jennifer Garner, Angelina Jolie doesn’t need makeup to look good.
